Join Us!

At Google Operations Center we help Google users and customers solve problems and achieve their goals—all while enjoying a culture focused on improving continuously and being better together. We work hard, we play hard, and we want you to join us!

We are seeking a Training Delivery Specialist who combines deep hands-on expertise in Web Analytics, Tagging Infrastructure, and GCP Data Engineering with a passion for adult learning and technical enablement. In this role, you will bridge the gap between analytics operations, data engineering, and learning delivery. You will diagnose capability gaps, design practical, production-aligned technical curricula, and deliver hands-on training to upskill operations and engineering teams across end-to-end measurement, BigQuery analytics, ETL workflows, and emerging AI/LLM data solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Training Delivery & Enablement

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on technical training sessions, live labs, bootcamps, and debug clinics across both classroom and virtual formats.
  • Demystify complex tracking, data collection, and pipeline architectures (e.g., client-side vs. server-side GTM, attribution models, BigQuery partition/cluster optimization, ETL pipeline debugging, and LLM prompt design).
  • Facilitate hands-on walkthroughs for building robust tagging strategies, validating data layers, peer-reviewing SQL queries, and optimizing campaign analytics.

2. Curriculum Design & Content Creation

  • Design, build, and continuously update comprehensive technical learning paths, hands-on lab exercises, and evaluation rubrics based on adult learning principles.
  • Create real-world, production-aligned exercises covering tag deployment, data warehouse modeling in BigQuery, and pipeline orchestration.
  • Develop implementation documentation templates, training modules, and best-practice guides for DataOps/DevOps release management.

3. Capability Assessment & Learning Impact

  • Proactively assess current-state skills across operations and engineering verticals within GOC to build structured capability roadmaps.
  • Design and implement rigorous pre- and post-training assessments, practical data-modeling challenges, and tag audit simulations to measure measurable skill acquisition.
  • Leverage learning metrics and operational performance data to evaluate program effectiveness, demonstrate ROI, and optimize learning interventions.

4. Stakeholder & Domain Collaboration

  • Forge strategic relationships with Product Marketers, Senior Data Engineers, Technical Leads, and training partners to keep training curricula aligned with shifting business goals and industry standards.
  • Serve as the resident Subject Matter Expert on Google’s marketing and measurement ecosystem, BigQuery data warehousing, and modern data-layer architectures.

Technical Scope & Requirements:

  • Web Analytics & Tagging Architecture: Designing and deploying end-to-end tagging strategies using Google Tag Manager (GTM), Global Site Tag (gtag.js), Google Analytics 4 (GA4) understanding attribution modeling, cross-domain tracking, and headless/coupled CMS data layer integration.
  • Data Engineering & BigQuery: Architecting, querying, and optimizing large datasets using advanced SQL in GCP BigQuery; building and troubleshooting batch/streaming ETL pipelines; understanding OLAP concepts and data warehousing design.
  • Modern DataOps & Applied AI: Implementing release management, error handling, system stability, and data quality checks; applying Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering patterns to streamline data extraction, documentation, and technical problem-solving.
  • Web Fundamentals: Reading and debugging HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, and basic PHP/server logic to diagnose tag execution failures, race conditions, and DOM changes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 7–10+ years of total experience, including:
  • At least 4–5 years of hands-on technical experience in web analytics implementation (GTM, GA4, Ads) and data engineering using advanced SQL on GCP BigQuery.
  • At least 2–3 years in a role delivering technical training, facilitating bootcamps, or leading structured technical mentorship/enablement programs.
  • Web Analytics Expertise: Proven track record in implementing end-to-end website tagging strategies, data layer validation, and campaign performance troubleshooting.
  • Data Engineering Depth: Demonstrated proficiency in advanced SQL, data manipulation, and building/maintaining ETL pipelines in GCP BigQuery.
  • Web Tech Acumen: Solid hands-on understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to audit, inspect, and troubleshoot website code and tracking scripts.
  • Instructional Competence: Strong foundation in adult learning principles, instructional design, and technical presentation skills, with comfort leading live coding and data debugging sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical experience working with Large Language Models, prompt engineering, and translating business workflows into AI-augmented data solutions.
  • Experience with Headless or Decoupled CMS platforms (e.g., Brightspot, Contentful, Strapi, Drupal, or AEM).
  • Experience with DataOps/DevOps practices, CI/CD code check-in workflows, and peer-reviewing production SQL queries.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI) to present learning impact and analytics data.
  • Google Cloud (GCP) certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Cloud Digital Leader) or Google Analytics/Ads certifications.
  • Certifications in Project Management (Agile/Scrum, PMP) or Process Improvement (Six Sigma).

Benefits

  • We support you with competitive wages and with comprehensive health care including medical, dental and vision coverage

  • We support your family with gender-neutral baby bonding leave, 26 week birth-parent maternity leave, and generous life, accident and disability insurance minimums

  • Employees who work onsite can enjoy free meals and snacks, and fun onsite experiences
