Role Overview

As a Technical Delivery Manager, you'll play a critical role in overseeing the development and delivery of our essential internal tools and applications. You'll collaborate closely with engineering leads, product managers, and stakeholders across Google to define project scope, manage timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure successful execution. Position Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership: Guide and mentor Frontend Developers in establishing scalable web architectures, ensuring adherence to modern web standards, frontend performance optimization, and the seamless technical integration of complex user interfaces.
• Workflow Oversight: Serve as the focal point of contact for internal and external project queries, ensuring that the team’s actions remain in synergy with broader business goals.
• Design-to-Development Alignment: Partner closely with UI/UX Designers to translate user-centric design paradigms into technically feasible solutions, fostering a collaborative environment that balances aesthetic vision with technical constraints and web accessibility standards.
• Cross-Disciplinary WebOps Orchestration: Serve as the technical bridge unifying Frontend, Design, QA, and Analytics workflows, ensuring that cross-functional teams operate in synergy to deliver and maintain high-performing, user-centric web applications
• Quality Assurance & Test Strategy: Oversee Test Engineers in designing and implementing robust testing frameworks. Drive test automation initiatives and support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to maintain high reliability and stability in all web deployments.
• Data-Driven Web Optimization: Collaborate with Data and Web Analytics Specialists to ensure the implementation of comprehensive telemetry. Utilize web analytics to monitor user behavior, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and inform iterative product maintenance based on actionable data insights.
• Risk Management and Mitigation: Proactively identify and assess potential risks that could impact project delivery, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution, Third-Party Vendor & Agency Management, SLA/SLO Enforcement,
• Dependency Management: Identify and manage dependencies between different projects and teams, ensuring that roadblocks are removed and projects are delivered efficiently.
• Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve development processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall team performance. This could involve implementing Agile best practices, refining communication channels, or introducing new technologies.
  

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: 15+ in technical project management, with a focus on maintenance & core development with multiple dev models like agile / scrum / waterfall.
• People Management: 8+/10y+ people management experience involving performance management .
• Strong Experience in Project Planning and Scheduling, Team Coordination, Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Resource Management, and Quality Assurance
• Excellent organizational skills to track project / scrum timelines, roadmaps, and deliverables.
• Strong Experience in end to end Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience with multiple full lifecycles from Design & Architecture through Development, Testing, Deployment and Debugging production issues.
• Cross-Functional Team Management: Demonstrated experience directly managing or coordinating workflows across diverse technical disciplines, specifically including Frontend Developers and UX/UX Designers.
• Testing & QA Lifecycle Experience: Proven track record of overseeing end-to-end software testing life cycles, with a solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies and collaboration with Test Engineers.
• Data & Analytics Foundation: Applied experience utilizing web analytics and data platforms to track project deliverables, measure user impact, and guide operational decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experiences may be equally valuable:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience in SQL, Regex, database concepts.
• 5y+  experience using GIT based continuous integration & delivery
• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWS
• Experience in Middleware development/design (remote procedure call based, publish subscribe based, etc)
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven experience managing or acting as the technical bridge for cross-disciplinary teams, including Frontend Developers, UI/UX Designers, and QA Engineers, within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Frontend & Design Fluency: Familiarity with modern frontend architectures and translating user-centric UI/UX designs into technically feasible, scalable web solutions.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in utilizing web analytics and data reporting tools to monitor application health, optimize frontend performance, and drive strategic WebOps improvements.
• QA & CI/CD Orchestration: Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks (Test Engineering) and to integrate robust quality assurance processes into Git-based continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
